| | | | | Alexander Martynov, baritone, started his professional singing training with Alexander Shikanyan. In 1990 he entered the Gnessins College of Music (Trapezdnikov’s class). In 1991 he began his studies at the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatoire. After graduating he joined the Novaya Opera Theatre. The singer tours extensively, performing with musical ensembles such as the State Symphony Chapel of Russia led by Valery Polyansky, the Nekrasov Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments, the Musica Viva orchestra, and many others. Since 2005, he has taken part in numerous projects of the Irina Arkhipova Foundation, including the Irina Arkhipova International Opera Festival.
