The Novaya Opera invites you to the world of the yesteryear dance music at the
Waltzes, Tangos & Foxtrots concert. You will have an opportunity to enjoy fascinating retro hits and to immerse in the atmosphere of the ‘30s-‘50s dance floors.
The programme features Waves of the Amur River, On the Hills of Manchuria, Moonlight Waltz, Forest Fairy Tale waltzes, La Cumparsita, The Tired Sun, Espuma de Champagne, “Oh, these black eyes…”, In the Chayir Park tangos, May Blossom, Rio Rita foxtrots, as well as music to Dunaevsky’s Jazzmen, Circus, Spring, Lehár’s operetta Die lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow), and two musicals: Loewe’s My Fair Lady and Kazenin’s Uncle’s Dream.
The retro hits will be performed in wonderful arrangements and accompanied by dramatized dance sketches depicting scenes of the pre-war and postwar everyday life.
