The score includes Mozart’s Requiem, Rimsky-Korsakov’s Mozart and Salieri and music by Antonio Salieri.
The works of music that Evgeny Kolobov included in the composition called “Requiem in two parts” have come to be an artistic study in the two dimensions of the Divine Gift bestowed on the two great musicians: Salieri’s talent and diligence and Mozart’s strokes of genius. It is not villainy and genius but the divine and the earthly that are the idea of the production.

“Kolobov blows up the course of the opera’s dialogue with powerful gusts of Mozart’s music,… and in the end Salieri in the opera argues not with himself but with Mozart’s musical genius. The opera about passion-torn Salieri becomes part of this synthetic production”.
