Oleg Shagotsky, baritone. He graduated from the Gnessins Academy of Music in 1997 (Professor Yureneva’s class). In 1996 Oleg Shagotsky joined the Novaya Opera Theatre at first as a trainee and then as a staff member.He has performed such parts as Rigoletto (Verdi's Rigoletto). Alfio (Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana), Svetozar (Glinka's Ruslan and Lyudmila) and has participated in Bravissimo! performance (as Figaro, Papageno and the Venetian). The singer collaborates with the State Academic Chapel directed by Polyansky. He has toured in Germany, USA, Spain, Luxemburg, Greece, and Switzerland. Oleg Shagotsky has performed the part of the Old Deuteronomy in the production of Webber’s Cats, Grimsby in Menken's The Little Mermaid, Monsieur Lefebre, Monsieur Ferme, Josef Bouke and the Auctioneer in Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, and Bruschino junior in Rossini’s Il Signor Bruschino.
