On a Visit to Laughter concert. It comprises songs from the world's greatest comedies.
At this soiree the Novaya Opera’s soloists and special guests – guest soloists and an instrumental band will take the stage. The ensemble of singers and instrumentalists will be headed by the Novaya Opera’s director Dmitry Sibirtsev, a pianist and a winner of the Moscow City Literature and Arts Prize.
The singers will perform the soundtracks from The Toy and Vabank films, the most famous songs from the films Some Like It Hot, The Taming of the Scoundrel and Never Play Clever Again, hits from the Soviet films Kidnapping, Caucasian Style, Twelve Chairs, It Can't Be!, Carnival Night to name a few.
The compositions are supplemented with video excerpts which will let you take on a musical journey around the favourite films at one soiree. On the screen the audience will see many cinema stars including Marilyn Monroe with her signature piece I Wanna Be Loved By You, Adriano Celentano treading grapes, Andrey Mironov in the role of Ostap Bender, the inimitable Lyudmila Gurchenko with A Song About a Good Mood, Svetlana Svetlichnaya in the famous scene from The Diamond Arm and Natalya Varley with the students’ folklore – Polar Bears Song.
