Dmitry Orlov, bass, graduated from the Popov Choral Academy (Professor Vdovin’s class) and completed his post-graduate studies there (Professor Nesterenko's class)He participated in the 7th, 8th and 9th Moscow International Vocal Schools in 2007–2008. In 2008, he performed Lord Sidney in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims in the Chamber Hall of the Moscow International House of Music. He also tool part in the production of the opera in Chateau Paradis in Aix-en-Provance. In 2009, the singer took part in a children’s version of Wagner’s Die fliegende Holländer shown at the Bayreuth Festival. In 2010, he sang Count Capulet in Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet (in concert) in the Moscow Philharmonic (conductor Benjamin Pionnier). He performed the title role in Rachmaninov’s Aleko at the Oldenburg International Festival in Germany. Dmitry Orlov toured in Mexico, the USA, Canada, Switzerland, Germany, France, and Great Britain jointly with the Popov Academy’s choir. He performed in concerts with Hvorostovsky, Kauffmann, and Fleming. The singer joined the Novaya Opera in 2010.
