Anatoly Gus,

Novaya Opera conductor in 1994–2013, is a People’s Artist of Russia, graduate of the Gnesiny Russian Academy of Music. Since 1974 he has been chief conductor of the Igor Moiseev Folk Dance Ensemble.

Between 1994 and 2013 he cooperated with the Novaya Opera, where he conducted Catalani’s La Wally, Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana, Golovin’s First Love, ballets Rimsky-Korsakov's Sheherazade, Ravel's Bolero, Borodin's Polovtsian Dances, acted as music director and conductor of Leoncavallo’s I Pagliacci and Bizet’s Les pêcheurs de perles.

The conductor took part in the “Chorus of the Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow” CD recording.
