They are so different, but they are united by their talent. Many of them are already at the height of their success. Their mastery of interpretation has won recognition at many Russian and foreign competitions. Others have but recently embarked on their career at our theatre. The Novaya Opera Tenors concert offers you a great opportunity to enjoy the sound of the tenors’ voices and to listen to opera hits that have long been gems of the tenor repertoire.
The first part of the concert presents foreign operas’ characters: Nemorino, who is suffering from unrequited love, the voluptuary Duke of Mantua, noble Lohengrin, a courageous knight of the Holy Grail, and Canio, who is agonizing over his wife’s infidelity. The second part of the concert brings on stage well-known characters of Russian operas: Prince Vladimir, in love with the Tartar Khan’s daughter, Lensky recalling his beloved before the fatal duel, the Young Gypsy from Rachmaninov’s Aleko and many others.
