Victoria Yarovaya’s rich coloratura mezzo-soprano can more often be heard abroad: at the Rossini Festivals in Pesaro and Wildbad, the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, the Scottish Opera, the
Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg, the Finnish National Opera, the Real Teatro di San Carlo and at other European venues. The performance of the singer at the Novaya Opera is a long-expected event.
A graduate of the Accademia Rossiniana, Victoria Yarovaya is branded as a verily Rossini singer who fascinates the audience ‘with technical readiness, rich vocal style, expressiveness of the low register, voice lightness on the upper extreme of her range…At the same time, her excellent vocal school and acting talent let Victoria perform roles in operas by Mozart, Puccini, and Tchaikovsky.
The singer’s repertoire includes the leading mezzo-soprano roles in Mozart’s Così fan tutte (Dorabella), Rossini’s La Cenerentola (title role), Il barbiere di Siviglia (Rosina), L'italiana in Algeri (Isabella, Zulma), La gazza ladra (Pippo), Puccini’s Madama Butterfly (Suzuki), Gounod’s Romeo et Juliette (Stefano), Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin (Olga), Nyman’s and Purcell’s DIDO (Dido, Dorothy Burk) to name a few. In May 2016 the singer's recital took part in Théâtre du Capitole (Toulouse, France).
Victoria Yarovaya won the Mercedes Viñas Special Prize of the 50th Francisco Viñas International Singing Competition (Barcelona, 2013).
At the present recital the singer will perform arias from popular and rare operas by Rossini, Mozart, Bellini and Donizetti. Taking part in the performance will be the Novaya Opera Orchestra under the baton of Andrey Lebedev, winner of the Golden Mask National Theatrical Award.
