Don Carlos in Turin, productions at the Washington National Opera and Vienna State Opera – this is just a small part of the long list of world famous bass Ildar Abdarzakov’s engagements in the season 2012–2013.
A soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre, Ildar Abdarazokv has triumphantly sung in La Scala, the Royal Opera House in London, Liseu in Barcelona, Real Theatre in Madrid, Opera Bastillel in Paris. He has performed at the Salzburg Festival and London BBC Proms.
The singer has worked with prominent conductors Riccardo Muti, Valery Gergiev, James Levine, Gianandrea Noseda, Bertrand de Billy, Riccardo Frizza, Riccardo Chailly, and Antonio Pappano.
Ildar Abdrazakov’s recital on April 17 will open a series of concerts called World Opera Stars. The programme is comprised of arias by Mozart, Rossini and Verdi.
The concert features leading baritone Vasily Ladyuk and Kristina Mkhitaryan, a soloist of the Bolshoi Youth Programme. Fabio Mastrangelo will take the podium.
