| Denis Petrov-Zherebchenko, Theatre Stage Director. Between 1994 and 1997 he was a student at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts – GITIS (the Music Theatre Department, majoring in music theatre stage direction). In 1998, he graduated from the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts with a degree as “Stage Director of Theatrical Performances”.In 1993 to 2001, he worked for the Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow, holding different positions: property master, stage manager, stage director’s assistant, acting stage director. As the stage director’s assistant he participated in the productions of Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Glinka’s Ruslan and Lyudmila, Mussorgsky’s Boris Godunov, Rubinstein’s The Demon, Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda, Verdi’s Rigoletto, Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, Catalani’s Valli, Tomas’ Hamlet, O Mozart! Mozart…. He produced Golovin’s First Love, Beethoven’s Welsh Songs; concert programmes: the gala concert dedicated to the inauguration of the Novaya Opera’s building in the Hermitage Garden and the gala concert dedicated to the 400th anniversary of opera. Between 1999 and 2011, he worked as a dancer and director of the Kudrinka folk dance ensemble. In 1999, he was a stage manager at the Tomorrowland musical (Director John Adams). In 2001, he worked as the director’s assistant on the production of Verdi’s Falstaff (Musa Jalil Opera and Ballet Theatre, Music Director – Marco Boemi, Director – Eric Vos). The same year he produced Verdi’s Rigoletto for the 20th Fyodor Chaliapin International Opera Festival. In 2001 and 2002, he was the general stage manager of the Nord Ost musical. In 2002 and 2003, he was the general stage manager of the Chicago musical. In 2002 and 2003, he was a producer and actor at the Chikhachev Musical Drama Theatre for Children in Moscow. In this theatre he produced New Year Adventures of Alice-the-Fox and Basilio-the-Cat. Between 2003 and 2004, he was the general stage manager of the 12 Chairs musical. In 2004 and 2005, he was the general manager of the Cats musical. Between 2005 and 2009 he was a senior lecturer at the Russian Slavic Culture Academy (Opera Training and Acting Art class). Since 2015, he has been a stage director at the Novaya Opera Theatre
