Giselle was premiered at the State Academic Theatre of Classical Ballet in 1991. The plot of this ballet is based on an old legend about girls who died before their wedding (the Wilis). Giselle is the most poetic piece of all the romantic ballets and is widely admired by the public. The second act is one of the high-water marks of classical choreography.
