SYMPHONY FAIRY TALES IN THE BOLSHOI THEATRE OF THE ANGLO-AMERICAN SCHOOL (29.02.2012)

On February 29, 2012 the Novaya Opera performed at the Bolshoi Theatre! At the Bolshoi Theatre of the Anglo-American School in Moscow. Mostly foreigners, the young pupils watched and listened to the Peter and the Wolf and The Ugly Duckling symphony fairy tales with a lot of enthusiasm. The smallest 3-year-old spectators were sitting on the floor and intensely watching the cartoon which accompanied the performance. The older kids were sitting in comfortable plush theatre chairs and followed the surtitles that we specially made in English.
Everyone was laughing at the clowns-narrators (Ksenia Volkova as Beauty, Anton Bochkaryov as Jolly Fellow and Sergey Kanygin as Mr. Know-All) and at the adventures of the Duckling, Peter, the Duck, the Little Bird, the Hunters, Peter’s Grandpa and others. Adults fell in with the children’s laugh.
Music, clowns, cartoons can be easily understood by children of all nations. And now the school’s Bolshoi is open to the Novaya Opera. All the artists were presented with magnificent bouquets.
