| | | | | FABIO MASTRANGELO AT THE NOVAYA OPERA (31.01.2013). The Novaya Opera’s Director Dmitry Sibirtsev has held negotiations with the famous Italian conductor Fabio Mastrangelo, who conducted Rigoletto on 25 January at the Epiphany Week International Festival.
They discussed possible long-term collaboration, including a new operatic production in the 2014/15 season, for which Fabio Mastrangelo will act as music director and conductor. During the present season, the Maestro will be conducting performances of the current repertoire.
Fabio has strong links with Russia: he lives in St. Petersburg, acts as a permanent guest conductor at the Mariinsky and Yekaterinburg Theatres, of the Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra, etc.; he is married to a Russian flute player. Moscow and its Novaya Opera Theatre attract Fabio just as much.
