Dmitry Hvorostovsky at Novaya Opera (19.03.2014).

Famous baritone Dmitry Hvorostovsky will give a recital at the Novaya Opera in July 2014. His summer plans also include recording a new CD jointly with the Novaya Opera Orchestra.

Dmitry Sibirtsev: “I had a meeting with Dmitry’s agent Mark Hildrew. We negotiated participation of the Novaya Opera orchestra in Dmitry’s concert on June 7 at the Barvikha Luxury Village. The negotiations were successful, but we did not stop there. We have also agreed that Dmitry will give a concert at the Novaya Opera in July. It will be a joint project and the singer will perform Neapolitan and Russian songs.”

Dmitry Sibirtsev also said that at the same time the singer would record a solo album and the Novaya Opera orchestra would participate in the recording.

It was also negotiated that in the future Dmitry Hvorostovsky may appear in one of the theatre’s performances. In 2000, he sang the part of Rigoletto at the opening night of Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Novaya Opera, and the Moscow opera lovers remember the performance very well.

“But first we need to do the concert and show the best qualities of the orchestra as Dmitry Hvorostovsky hasn’t worked with our musicians for a long time,” emphasized Dmitry Sibirtsev, “but it is crucial that everything goes well. Then we’ll be able to think over our future plans.”
