Novaya Opera makes a step towards our Planet (03.03.2016)

The performance of Verdi’s Nabucco on 19 March 2016 coincides with the EARTH HOUR worldwide action. The climate action, held by WWF, requires people to turn off electricity for an hour to reduce depletion of natural resources and to help in solving ecological problems.

On March 19 at 8.30 p.m. the theatre will switch off not only the façade lights but also the lights on the stage and in the auditorium. The performance of Nabucco will be stopped for three minutes. Thus, all the spectators will take part in the climate action. The Novaya Opera cares about the future of the Planet!

At the set time the illumination of the Moscow Kremlin, Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral, GUM and over 100 other Moscow buildings will be turned off.
