| | | | | Love Duets. on February 14, 2014 the Novaya Opera invites you to the Love Duets concert. The programmes is comprised of love duets from Russian and foreign operas of the 19th century. You will hear light and exquisite bel canto music by Rossini (Il barbiere di Siviglia) and Donizetti (L'elisir d'amore), gems of romantic opera (Verdi's La Traviata and Rigoletto, Bizet's Carmen and Italian opera verismo manifesto Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci.
Russian opera is presented by duet of Vladimir and Konchakovna from Borodin's Prince Igor and Iolanta and Vaudemont's Scene from Tchaikovsky's Iolanta. The concert ends with excerpts from Kalman's Die Csárdásfürstin and Strauss' Die Fledermaus.Young Novaya Opera singers (Juliet Avanesyan, Ekaterina Mironycheva, Irina Kostina) will take part in the concert along with the Novaya Opera stars Tatyana Pechnikova, Elvira Khokhlova, Georgy Vasiliev, Aleksey Tatarintsev, Ilya Kuzmin and many others.
