| Novaya Opera’s First Visit to Latvia (11.06.2013). On June 11, on the eve of Russia Day, the Novaya Opera’s leading soloists and orchestra will give a gala concert in the Large Guild in Riga , with the support of the Moscow House. The Moscow House in Riga is a major center of culture and business cooperation, which provides a wonderful venue for performances by leading Moscow artists and companies. Keeping up Russian traditions and Russian national holidays, the Moscow House has timed the Novaya Opera’s visit and concert to coincide with Russia Day.
Elena Terentieva, Olga Terentieva, Agunda Kulaeva, Vasily Laduyk, Aleksey Tatarintsev and Sergei Artamonov, accompanied by the Novaya Opera orchestra (conductor: Vasily Valitov), will present the Classical Opera Gems programme, comprising music pieces by Borodin, Tchaikovsky, Rossini, Verdi, and other composers.
We hope that the concert by the Moscow artists will help promote friendship and cultural ties between Moscow and Riga, Russia and Latvia.
