EXHIBITIONS AND LIVE ART PERFORMANCES (05.12.2013)

The OperaLounge expands the boundaries of its discussion club. Themed performances will be shown to OperaLounge guests a few days before the opening night of a new production or a theatrical event.

An unusual live art performance, called The Queen of Spades, opened the OperaLounge evening devoted to the premiere of The Queen of Spades opera. The sacramental words “Trey, Seven, Ace” were chanted by young artists from the O-Я group. Their artistic director Sergey Koren is a famous Moscow artist and teacher. The artists were Yulia Osaulenko, Yulia Dmitrieva, Kristina Kim, Kristina Rashchupkina, Olga Marchenko, Elena Kisova and Elena Khrykina.

Also the NO foyer will host exhibitions of photographs, paintings, graphics and art objects related to the theme of a coming new production.
The foyer exhibited cards-and-the-Queen-of-Spades-themed works by young artists from the Moscow Art and Industry Institute and members of the O-Я group, as well as by photographer Yaroslav Polyakov.

In January 2014, Novaya Opera’s bass Sergey Tarasov showcased his photographs.
