Devoted admirers of the Novaya Opera may still remember that the theatre’s splendid, atmospheric foyer was once the venue of various cultural events,. including performances of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, and the literary and musical soirees “Music is My Soul” and “Welsh Songs”.
In the current season the theatre has revived this wonderful tradition.
