| Ten Sopranos of the Novaya Opera. On October 2, the Novaya Opera presents the Ten Sopranos of the Novaya Opera in a new format. Now the concert features not only the Novaya Opera leading sopranos, but also guest singers. Our audience will witness an exciting artistic contest of voices and theatres and, in the future, of countries and vocal schools. We have changed not only the form, but also the content. The focus is now on compositions that are not part of the theatre’s current repertoire. In addition to excerpts from operas, the programme will include fragments of musicals and operettas, songs, etc. The October 2 concert features
– Anna Aglatova, a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre
– Maria Pakhar, a soloist of the Stanislavsky and Nemiroch-Danchenko Musical Theatre
– Irina Samoilova, a soloist of the Helikon-Opera
– Novaya Opera Soloists:
Anastasia Belukova, Lyudmila Kaftaikina, Galina Koroleva, Ekaterina Kichigina, Tatyana Smirnova, Elizaveta Soina, Elvira Khokhlova. The first part consists of excerpts from operas, operettas and musicals ranging from Mozart to Bernstein, while the second part includes light music masterpieces of the 20th century.
The Novaya Opera Orchestra will play under the baton of Valery Kritskov.
