American Tenor DANIEL BRENNA to Perform at Novaya Opera (13.11.2016)

American tenor Daniel Brenna will sing the part of Pushkin in the opera of the same name by Konstantin Boyarsky. The world premiere of the piece will take place at the Novaya Opera on February 4, 2017.

Daniel’s international career began in 2011 when he portrayed Aron in Arnold Schoenberg’s Moses and Aron at the Zurich Opera House. Daniel Brenna is considered “one of the youngest and most convincing Siegfrieds around” (in the Wagner opera). His Siegfried has been much celebrated in the Washington National Opera, the Longborough Festival, the Stuttgart State Opera, and the Wagner Days in Budapest. His Tannhauser at the Dortmund Theatre was voted by the German press as the best singer. Daniel made his successful debut at the Metropolitan Opera House as Alwa in Alban Berg’s Lulu in 2015.
This will be the singer’s first appearance in Moscow.
