Hvorostovsky Records a CD (01.07.2014)

For a few days the famous Mosfilm First Recording Studio will become a workplace for the Novaya Opera Orchestra. On July 10 to 14, 2014, Dmitry Hvorostovsky will be recording his new CD there.

The album will comprise war songs: Blanter’s “Wait For Me”, “Dark-Eyed Kazachka”, “How a Soldier Did His Service”, Solovyov-Sedoi’s “Where Are You, My Garden”, “In a Sunny Clearing”, “A Ballade About a Soldier”, Dunaevsky’s “Once I Went From Berlin”, Bogoslovsky’s “My Favourite City”, Petrov’s “Minutes of Silence”, Pakhmutova’s “Hot Snow” and many others. Constantine Orbelian will conduct the Novaya Opera Orchestra.

The CD recording is yet another joint project of the Novaya Opera and the legendary baritone. On June 7, the Novaya Opera Choir and Orchestra participated in Hvorostovsky’s concert in Barvikha Luxury Village, and on July 16 he will perform songs by Soviet composers at the Novaya Opera.
