Yulia Bankova,

an accompanist. Graduated from the Special Piano Department of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow in 2001. She joined the Novaya Opera in 2003 as an accompanist. Here she works on almost all the repertoire of the theatre, takes part in tours, prepares and performs concert programmes with Novaya Opera soloists. Participated in the Romancing the Harpsichord chamber concert, Rubin’s Recital as part of The Opera Garden Contemporary Music Festival, in the Sviridov Age Vocal Music Festival. She prepared the following concert programmes: The Chamber Choir Christmas Concert, Elvira Khokhlova and Irina Romishevskaya’s Recital. Participates in the theatre’s concerts at different venues such as the Central Scientists’ House, the State Darwin Museum, the Jewish Cultural Centre, and MIPAC.

Yulia Bankova is a prize-winner of the Rachmaninoff, Vladimir Kraynev, Gorovits and Prokofiev International Competitions. She is a diploma-holder of the International Piano Duets Competition in Japan and of the Organ Music Festival in Moscow.
