| | | | | Svetlana Zlobina, guest soloist, mezzo-soprano, graduated from the Schnittke Moscow State College of Music (2007) and the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (RATI-GITIS; 2012, the Music Theatre Department, Associate Professor Bashkirova’s singing class). In 2011–2012 she performed the part of Neron in Monteverdi’s L'incoronazione di Poppea in the GITIS training theatre (Moscow).Since 2011, Svetlana has been working with the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre, where she sang in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte (Second and Third Lady, Second and Third Page) and Gluk’s Le Cinesi (Tandgia) and performed solo parts in Langer’s Songs near a Well (the world premiere) and Auerbach’s The Blind (Russian premiere) in the Modern Opera Laboratory project in 2012. The young soloist also appears in the Beauty that Sustains My Life concert cycle dedicated to the vocal and instrumental music of the 16–18th centuries. In 2013, she performed as Polina in Tchaikovsky’s The Queen of Spades in the Yaushev State Music Theatre (Saransk). In 2014, she sang the part of Little Thief in Banevich’s Story of Kai and Gerda at the Bolshoi Theatre. Svetlana Zlobina tours extensively, giving concerts in Russia, France, Austria, Armenia, Latvia and Malta.
