Mikhail Vorobiov,

Opera Company Manager, graduated from the Ippolitov-Ivanov State College and Institute of Music in 1998.

Between 1997 and 2014, he was a Novaya Opera soloist and performed tenor parts in the theatre’s productions of Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride and Snow Maiden, Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia, Verdi’s Rigoletto, Nabucco, La Traviata and Il trovatore, Borodin’s Prince Igor, Wagner’s Lohengrin and Tristan und Isolde, “O Mozart! Mozart…”, Bravissimo!, as well as in the concert programmes Maria Callas, This is Opera!, Rossini, and the chamber choir shows The Ebony, The Ivory and The Red. He has participated in numerous festivals.

In 2013, he became the Novaya Opera’s chief administrator. Since 2016, Mikhail has acted as the Opera Company Manager.

  • Prize-winner of the Third All-Russia Competition for Young Singers (1995)
  • Certificate of Merit issued by the Ministry for Culture and the Cultural Workers’Union for great contribution to the development of culture (2010)
