| Mikhail Novikov, tenor. He graduated from the Tchaikovsky South Ural State Institute of Arts (Vocal Art Faculty, 2005).In 2014–2017, he was a soloist of the Glinka Opera and Ballet Theatre of Chelyabinsk. In 2016 he made a guest appearance as José (Bizet’s Carmen) in the Yekaterinburg Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2017, he began his studies at the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre (Oleg Kulko’s class). In 2017–2018, he was a soloist at the Alexander Alexandrov Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army. He participated in tours in Ulyanovsk (2015, 2016) as well as in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Israel, Oman and China. Since September 2018 he has been a soloist of the Novaya Opera. His repertoire comprises the parts of Lensky (Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin), Vaudémont (Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta), Young Gipsy (Rachmaninoff’s Aleko), Bayan (Glinka’s Ruslan and Lyudmila), Don José (Bizet’s Carmen), Radames (Verdi’s Aida), Faust (Gounod’s Faust) and Canio (Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci).
