| Marina Efanova, Head of the Repertoire Department. Graduated from the Glinka State Conservatory in Novosibirsk (Vocal Department, 1996) and the Moscow University of Finance and Law with a degree in Economics and Company Management (2015). In 1996 to 2000, she was a soloist of the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre; in 2000 to 2015, she was a soloist of the Kolobov Novaya Opera Theatre of Moscow (soprano).As a singer she collaborated with Polyansky’s Russian State Academic a Capella Choir, where she performed as Oksana (Tchaikovsky’s Cherevichki), Zemfira (Rachmaninov’s Aleko), Rusalka (Dvorak’s Rusalka). At the Novaya Opera Theatre she performed as Kupava (Rimsky-Korsakov Snow Maiden), Elsa (Wagner’s Lohengrin) Isolde (Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde), Nedda (Leoncavallo’s I Pagliacci), the Countess (Strauss’ Capriccio), the soprano part in Tariverdiev’s mono opera Waiting (Voice of a Woman opera triptych), to name a few. She participated in numerous festivals. Her discography includes recordings of Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 14, Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera Boyarynya Vera Sheloga, Myaskovsky’s cantata The Kremlin at Night and video records of the Novaya Opera’s productions Bravissimo! and This is Opera!. From 2008 to 2012 she was the Executive Director of a number of key events in the Russian Public Voice Academy. From 2011 to 2012 she was the Chief of the Presidium of the Russian Public Voice Academy (a grant from the Russian Ministry of Culture). In 2009 to 2012, she was the Executive Director of the 1st and 2nd International Vocal and Speech Teachers’ Competitions and also of the 2nd Voice International Interdisciplinary Congress (2011). She is the chair and a permanent member of the jury of various vocal competitions for children of the Central Federal District, with support of the Russian Presidential Executive Office. In 2010, Marina Efanova was awarded a commendation of the Russian Presidential Executive Office for useful work in the field of culture. In 2004 to 2008, she worked as the Deputy Head of the Stage Directors’ Department of the Novaya Opera Theatre; between 2012 and 2015, she was the head the Stage Directors’ Department. In 2015, she was appointed Deputy Director for Repertoire and Tours. In 2018, she became the Head of the Repertoire Department.
