Ilya Derbilov,

Guest Conductor. Ilya Derbilov graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory in St. Petersburg. In 2002, he started to work as a choirmaster at the St. Petersburg State Capella.
 

With the Capella he toured in the USA, Germany, France, Holland, Spain, Luxemburg, Belgium, Greece, Belarus and the Ukraine. In 2004–2007, he was a conductor at the Opera and Ballet Theatre of the St. Petersburg Conservatory where he successfully collaborated with the outstanding choreographer Nikita Dolgushin.

 

In 2007–2012, Ilya Derbilov was the artistic director and the chief conductor of the Far East Academic Symphony Orchestra (Khabarovsk). While working with the orchestra, he gave more than three hundred concerts, performing in Sakhalin, in the Amur and Jewish regions and in China.

 

The conductor has collaborated with many prominent soloists such as Yuri Bashmet, Dmitry Hvorostovsky, Denis Matsuev, Dmitry Kogan, Boris Andrianov, to name a few.

 

Ilya Derbilov conducted the Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tambov and Karelia symphony orchestras. In 2009–2011 he was a guest conductor of the Guri Philharmonic Orchestra (Seoul, South Korea).

 

In 2018, he became the artistic director and chief conductor of the Gubernatorsky State Academic Symphony Orchestra in Ulyanovsk.
