Boris Statsenko,

baritone, graduated from the Tchaikovsky State Conservatoire of Moscow. In 1987–1990 he was a soloist of the Boris Pokrovsky Chamber Musical Theatre; in 1991–1995 he was a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre, where he sang Onegin in Tchaikovky’s Eugene Onegin, Figaro in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia, Valentin in Gounod’s Faust and some other roles.

After his successful performance at the Dresden Festival in 1993 he was invited to the Kemnitz Opera Theatre. He is currently a soloist of the German Opera on the Rhine in Düsseldorf and a guest soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre.
The singer gives numerous concerts. Since the late 1990s he has performed many times at the Ludwigsburg Festival in Germany with Verdi compositions. He sang Rigoletto in the Opera Bastille and in the opera houses of Turin, Graz, Stuttgart, Copenhagen and Mexico City.

Boris Statsenko is a prize-winner of numerous international competitions, including the Glinka International Competition, the Maria Callas International Competition in Athens and the Tchaikovsky International Competition in Moscow.
