| | | | | Anna Margulis, an accompanist, graduated from the Piano Department of the Gnesins State Music Teachers’ Training Institute in1972. Between 1977 and 1991 she worked as an accompanist in the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre of Moscow. She joined the Novaya Opera in 1991 as an accompanist. Here she works on almost all the repertoire of the theatre, takes part in tours, prepares and performs concert programmes with the Novaya Opera soloists. Since 1993, Mrs. Margulis has given master classes for young singers in Russian cities and abroad. Since 1998, she has worked in the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatoire in Galina Pisarenko’s class. Since 2000, Anna Margulis has been one of the directors of the International Singing School. Since 2003, she has been working in the American Summer School in Austria. She has trained many singers who won prizes of numerous vocal competitions. Mrs. Margulis has been given “the best accompanist of the competition” awards at the Tchaikovsky Competition, the Elena Obraztsova Competition, the Irina Bogacheva Competition and at various competitions in Brazil and Sweden. Anna Margulis is an Honoured Artist of Russia.
